This was delicious!! I used 1 1/2 pounds of halibut and added thin rice noodles. Easy and tasty.

Thanks for sharing this lovely recipe! A little silly question- Does the liquid need to be covering the fish? My saucepan is quite big so I wanted to be sure.

Yes it should cover so the fish can poach evenly, but I wouldn't add more water unless you increase the other seasonings proportionally!

Takes me back to Tokyo. So simple yet so flavorful and nourishing. Thank you for sharing your dashi source...I waited for it to arrive before trying this recipe and it was perfect. Also inspired some miso soup this week.
